Basic Computer Skills Needed To Payday Loan Online In Australia

With the convenience of a online payday loan, there are a couple of possible procedures needed. One neat tool is the “print screen” or “screen dump” procedure. This makes it possible to take a “picture” of a online bank statement or payslip, and to send it as an attachment in a email. The other computer skill is one dealing with security. The encryption on the online payday website is equal to that of a banks and you might need to clear your cache in order to access it.

SKILL ONE: Print Screen Instructions

SCREEN CAPTURE – PRINT SCREEN

 The following procedure outlines the steps to capture image on computer screen and save online document (example: bank statement or pay stub) to be attached to an email.

USING PC

 1. Click on the Title Bar of the window of which you would like to take a screen shot This will make the window active

2. Hold down the ALT key then press the PrintScreen key on the keyboard simultaneously

3. Open the Paint program from Accessories menu Go to Start  Programs Accessories Paint Paint program application window appears or open a blank Microsoft Word document.

4. Click Edit on the menu bar

5. Click Paste Picture of the window will appear

6. Click File on the menu bar

7. Click Saves As Save As dialog box will appear

8. Select Desktop in the Save in: drop-down box

9. Enter the filename of the document in the File name: box

10. Select the appropriate extension in the Save as type drop-down box

 11. Click the Save button

12. Open the webmail

13. Compose the message

14. Attach the document that was saved on the Desktop

 USING MAC – KEYBOARD METHOD

 To capture a selected portion of your screen to the Clipboard on a Macintosh computer, you must use a combination of four keys: Apple + Control + Shift + 4.

1. Adjust the screen contents to your liking and then press Apple + Control + Shift + 4 key. Your mouse cursor will change from an arrow to a plus sign.

2. Drag the mouse pointer (+) over the area you wish to capture.

3. Release the mouse button. You will hear a little click to indicate that the screen image has been captured to your Clipboard.

4. Open any application (i.e. Word, Powerpoint) and select Edit, Paste. You can also select the Paste icon from the standard toolbar.

5. Save the captured image (using the appropriate file extension) on the Desktop

6. Compose message in the appropriate webmail

7. Attach the saved image to the email  You can also capture the entire screen to the Clipboard by pressing Apple + Control + Shift +3.

 USING MAC – GRAB APPLICATION

 When walking  through obtaining a screen capture, the first thing you have to do is locate the Grab application and then use it to capture the screen shot.  This is a quick tutorial on how to do exactly that.   Locate the Grab Application and dock the application for quick access

 Use the Grab Application to capture the screen image

 Save the image  Quick Steps – locate the Grab Application and dock the application for quick access Hard Drive -> Applications -> Utilities -> Grab Application

1. Double click the hard drive icon located on the top right hand corner of the screen. List of folders will be displayed; the Applications folder will appear as the first icon in the list.

2. Double click the Application folder

3. Double click the Utilities folder as shown below

 4. Select the Grab application.

5. Drag and drop the Grab application on the dock Note:

 Quick Steps – use the Grab application to capture the image on the screen Grab -> Capture -> Screen -> “click once with your mouse”

1. Double click the Grab application Notice the finder has changed. It now has up in the top left corner by the Apple, the Grab application with options there beside it.

 Menu bar will appear as shown below:

 2. Select the Capture option in the Grab Application menu.

 3. Select Screen A pop up will appear stating the following: “To capture the screen, click outside this window. (This Window will not be included in the screen capture.) etc…   Quick Steps – saving the image as a file File -> Save As… -> “ScreenCapture.tiff” on the Desktop.

 1. Select File option, located on the main menu on the top left of the screen right beside the Apple icon

2. Select Save As. A dialog box will open for the customer to choose where to save their file

3. Save the file on the Desktop Note: Use the filename “ScreenCapture” with appropriate file extension.

4. Select save

5. Compose the email in their own webmail

6. Attach the file saved on the Desktop to their newly composed email

SKILL TWO: Clearing Cache

CLEARING CACHE

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to clear cache using some of the most common browsers

 MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 8.0

1. Click Safety at the top of your browser

 2. Click the box next to Temporary Internet Files and History

3. Click the Delete button

4. Click the Refresh button at the top of the browser

MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 7.0

1. Under the Tools menu at the top of your browser, select Internet Options

2. Click the General tab

3. Under Browsing history, click Delete… button

 4. Next to Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files… button

 5. Next to Cookies, click Delete cookies…button

 6. Click Close

 7. Click OK to exit

8. Click the Refresh button at the top of the browser (two green arrows going in a circle) 

 MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 6.X

1. Under the Tools menu at the top of your browser, select Internet Options

2. Under the General tab, click Delete Cookies A dialog box will appear asking, “Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder?”

 3. Click OK

4. Click Delete Files

5. A dialog box will appear that states, “Delete all files in the Temporary Internet Files”

6. Click the box next to Delete all off-line content

7. Click OK

8. Click OK again

9. Click the Refresh button at the top of the browser (two green arrows going in a circle) 

 NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR

1. Click Edit in the menu bar at the top of the browser

 2. Click Preferences

3. In the Preferences dialog box, select Advanced/Cache

4. Click Clear Disk Cache

5. Click OK

6. Click the Reload button at the top of your browser (This is the button to the right of the Forward Button)

 AMERICA ON-LINE

1. Click Settings on the AOL tool bar

2. Select Index on the Settings page and click Internet Options under the “I” in the alphabetized list

3. Click the General tab at the top of the Internet Properties dialog box if it is not already selected

4. In the Temporary Internet files section, click the Delete Files button

5. A dialog box will appear that says, “Delete all files in the Temporary Internet files”

6. Click OK

7. Click OK to leave the AOL Internet Properties dialog box

8. Close the Settings window

9. Exit and restart America On-line

MOZILLA FIREFOX FOR PC

1. Click Tools in the menu bar at the top of the browser and select Options

2. Once the option box appears, click Privacy

3. In the Private Data area, click Clear Now

4. Click Okay

5. Reload the browser 

 SAFARI VERSION 1.0/2.0 FOR MAC

1. Click on Safari at the top of the screen and select Empty Cache

2. Click Empty on the Are You Sure Message box.

3. Exit and relaunch the browser.

MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 4.0, 4.01, 4.05 AND 5.0 FOR MAC

1. Click on Edit and select Preferences.

2. Click the arrow beside Web Browser.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Click Empty Now and then OK.

5. Exit and relaunch the browser

 OPERA

1. Click File and select Preferences

 2. From Preferences, click to select History and cache

3. Click Empty now

4. Click OK

5. Exit and relaunch the browser

GOOGLE CHROME

1. Click the Tools menu (the wrench in the upper right corner)

 2. Click Clear browsing data…

3. Check the following boxes:  Empty the cache &  Delete cookies

 4. Click Clear Browsing Data

5. Exit and relaunch the browser

FIREFOX 3 FOR MAC OS X

1. Click Tools from the menu

2. Select Clear Private Data

3. Ensure Cache and Cookies are checked

4. Click Clear Private Data Now

FIREFOX 3.5 FOR MAC OS X

1. Click Tools from the menu

2. Select Clear Recent History…

3. Click Everything

4. Click Clear Now

5. Exit and relaunch the browser
